[Finished] Written in the stars (BTS)
  • Bang Si-Hyuk and Sejin were both sitting down around the table in the board room. Sejin pulled out the eight files that he had gathered as he presented them to Si-Hyuk. ‘This is all the information I managed to gather about all members you requested for,’ Sejin began as Si-Hyuk nodded.
  • ‘Run through each of their files – who is who and their areas. We need this team to be as strong, as much as possible,’ Si-Hyuk said.
  • Sejin nodded as he leaned forward and opened the first file. It showed the photo of a tall man in a lab coat with a beautiful smile. ‘Kim Namjoon. He was born in 1994 in Seoul but moved to Ilsan when he was four. He has a younger sister. He’s very fluent in English and has an IQ of 148. He works as an assistant medical examiner in Ilsan but everyone does believe he deserves to be the chief examiner,’ Sejin explained.
  • ‘I see. Maybe this would be a real incentive for him. Every team needs a medical examiner they can trust,’ Si-Hyuk said.
  • ‘Indeed. As for his personal life, Kim Namjoon has a fiancé named Park Boram. She works as a doctor,’ Sejin said.
  • ‘Hmm maybe they met in medical school. Kind of ironic huh? I mean Namjoon works on doing autopsies for dead people and his fiancé works on saving them,’ Si-Hyuk said with a smile. ‘Go on, who’s next?’ he asked.
  • Sejin closed Namjoon’s file and reached for another. He opened it, revealing another man. He was tall as well, wearing a suit and hair combed perfectly. ‘Kim Seokjin. He was born in 1992 in Anyang but moved to Gwacheon when he was just a one-year-old boy. He has an older brother as well. He also spent some time studying in Australia. He works in Gwacheon’s Police Force, but his specialization is kidnappings,’ Sejin said.
  • ‘Good. What about his personal life?’ Si-Hyuk asked.
  • ‘Seokjin’s married to Hana and has a three-year-old son named Yoseob. Hana works as a journalist and I believe they’re looking at places in Seoul because of his wife’s work so this might be the perfect opportunity for them,’ Sejin explained.
  • ‘That’s perfect. We can provide the lodgings,’ Si-Hyuk said. Sejin nodded as he closed the file and reached out to another one.
  • ‘Min Yoongi,’ Sejin began as he opened the file. ‘This one is a very interesting character,’ Sejin said.
  • ‘Is that so?’ Si-Hyuk asked as he chuckled slightly. ‘Tell me,’ he encouraged.
  • ‘He was born in 1993 in Daegu. He has an older brother as well. He’s a great basketball player but even better hacker,’ Sejin said with a smirk. ‘In his teenage years he got with the wrong type of crowd but luckily he met with someone who guided him into doing better. He works as an IT expert with the police department in Seoul. Furthermore, he’s married to Min Areum who works in the District Attorney office and they also have a one-year-old daughter Bong-Cha,’ Sejin explained.
  • ‘What an odd pair but makes sense. She might have helped him keep on a good path. I’m glad,’ Si-Hyuk said. ‘Who’s next?’
  • ‘Jung Hoseok. He was born in 1994 in Gwangju. He has an older sister. He loves dancing and sometimes volunteers in children’s shelters or orphanages to help the kids,’ Sejin explained.
  • ‘That’s nice. A ray of sunshine for those kids,’ Si-Hyuk said, nodding to himself.
  • ‘He works as a Forensic Analyst and lives in Seoul with his girlfriend Eunji. She works as an event organizer,’ Sejin explained.
  • ‘A people’s person,’ Si-Hyuk said. ‘Okay who else do we have?’ he asked.
  • ‘Kim Taehyung and Park Jimin. Both of them were born in 1995 and both of them have younger siblings. Taehyung was born in Daegu and Jimin in Busan. They met in Seoul when they were teenagers studying together and then got into the academy together. They’re also work partners working in the Homicide Department,’ Sejin explained.
  • ‘Hmm having two who knew each other before the team is set up can have both pros and cons. They might find it difficult to work within a team or it could help glue up the team,’ Si-Hyuk said.
  • ‘From what our sources said, I think they both are quite social and know how to work with different people rather well. Not to mention, they have an impeccable record,’ Sejin commented.
  • ‘Good. What about the final two?’ Si-Hyuk asked as Sejin picked one of the two files.
  • ‘They’re the youngest two. This is Jeon Jungkook, born in 1997 in Busan. He has an older brother. He’s pretty athletic too. He works from station to station since he works with Gangs and Narcotics,’ Sejin explained.
  • ‘We can give him a permanent place then,’ Si-Hyuk, said. ‘What about the final one?’ he asked. Sejin smiled as he opened the file, surprising Si-Hyuk. ‘Well this is a surprise,’ he said, intrigued.
  • ‘She definitely is. Yang Misun was born in 1997 in Hwaseong. She doesn’t have siblings and her parents died when she was thirteen and then she lived with her grandparents until she was eighteen and moved to Seoul. She joined the Police Academy and she topped all of her classes. Her file is the one which is very thin because she does a lot of undercover work,’ Sejin explained.
  • ‘She definitely is an interesting character,’ Si-Hyuk said as he rested against his chair. He took her file and skimmed through it before he looked at Sejin. ‘I think she could be the perfect candidate for being team leader,’ he said.
  • ‘I agree although,’ Sejin said with a frown. ‘I don’t know the boys personally but we know there are a lot of police officers who do not like taking orders from people younger than them much less if it is a woman,’ Sejin pointed out.
  • ‘If that is the case, then they should not be wearing the uniform in the first place. There cannot be room for sexist *s in the police force,’ Si-Hyuk said as Sejin nodded.
  • ‘Agreed. They will take some time to gel together but I am positive that are the perfect candidates for making the Bangtan dream project possible,’ Sejin said.
  • ‘Then, let’s start recruiting,’ Si-Hyuk said as he extended a hand towards Sejin. The two men shook hands, both of them showing a confident and hopeful smile.
  • Hello everyone - I'm back again with a completely new and hopefully different story. I plan on having lots of angst, lots of fluff, lots of emotion and hopefully some humour too. The beginning is slightly inspired by Hawaii Five O (where the governor had brought together a team that focused on big cases so to say). There will be influences from Police TV shows as well. I apologize beforehand for inaccuracies. I look forward to start this journey with you.
